I am currently a PhD student at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Before starting this path, I spent three years at the University of Buffalo (US). In 2020 I graduated with a Master’s degree in Archaeology from the University of Siena.
I participated in several field research projects both in Italy and abroad. During my Master’s years, I developed a close relationship with the Maremma landscape, taking part in various projects located within the province. As a result, I was able to delve into the study of different historical dynamics concerning this territory. Firstly, between 2018 and 2019, I participated in excavations carried out by the University of Siena within the city of Roselle, where a residential complex with various phases of use spanning from the Etruscan era to the Middle Ages was investigated. Between 2020 and 2023, I was involved in research conducted by the University of Buffalo in the territory of Civitella Paganico, under the direction of Professor Sebastiani. I also participated in research led by Professor Farinelli at the medieval thermal site of Caldanelle, in the area of Casal de Pari. Finally, starting from last summer, I was part of the research team investigating the site of Santa Marta, in the territory of Cinigiano, under the direction of Professor Campana from the University of Siena and Professor Vaccaro from the University of Trento.
My research interests mainly focus on the evolution of the relationship between humans and territory through the lens of architecture archaeology, the study of ancient landscapes, and material productions.
