I am a PhD candidate at IMT advanced studies in Lucca, where I am working on the development of high-resolution Lidar data acquisition by drone, data processing by AI and data interpretation. My goal is the implementation of a methodology exploring under canopy archaeology with particular regard to the prospections in the wooded Mediterranean environment.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Italy at the Univeristy of Perugia and Siena.  During my MA thesis I worked on a project in Landscape Archaeology , and this allowed me to conduct research through traditional methodologies (e.g. field walking survey) integrated with innovative techniques (e.g. mobile GIS, remote sensing, etc). Since 2020, I have developed experience in photogrammetric acquisitions and drone survey within the LAP&T LAB.

In 2021, I completed my second master degree at the Center for Geotechnology, University of Siena. Through this, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge regarding the digital aspects of archaeological research. During this period, I also received a competitive scholarship as part of an exchange programme at the University of Lund, Sweden.  Here, I improved my knowledge on LiDAR and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to archaeological studies.

Since 2020, I have been part of the organising committee of the session on Mobile GIS at CAA (Computer Applications in Archaeology).
